Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Vital Signal ("the Service") operated by Vital Signal ("we, " "us," or "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. Service Description

Vital Signal is a web-based application that uses artificial intelligence to help you track and identify patterns in personal health data. The Service includes an AI chat interface for logging health data, a health insights dashboard, and related features.

2. Account Registration

To use the Service, you must create an account using a valid email address or Google account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.

3. Subscription and Billing

The Service requires a paid subscription after a 7-day free trial period. By starting your trial, you agree to the following:

  • Your subscription costs $9.99/month, billed monthly through Stripe
  • A valid payment method is required to start your free trial
  • Your card will be charged automatically at the end of the trial period and on each monthly renewal date
  • You can cancel at any time through the billing portal in your account settings
  • Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — you retain access until then

4. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes only. You may not:

  • Share your account credentials or allow others to access your account
  • Use the Service to provide health advice or services to others
  • Misrepresent AI-generated observations as professional medical advice
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or extract data from the Service beyond your own user data
  • Use the Service in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations

5. Intellectual Property

All content in the Service — including text, design, AI prompt engineering, and software — is the intellectual property of Vital Signal and is protected by copyright law. Your subscription grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for your own health tracking purposes.

6. Your Data

You retain ownership of the health data you provide to the Service. You may export or permanently delete your data at any time through your account settings. See our Privacy Policy for details on how we handle your data.

7. Third-Party Services

The Service relies on third-party services for its core functionality. We are not responsible for:

  • Google Gemini — AI responses, accuracy, availability, or changes to the AI model
  • Stripe — payment processing, billing issues, or changes to payment infrastructure
  • Supabase — database hosting, authentication services, or infrastructure availability

You are responsible for reviewing and agreeing to the terms of any third-party service used in connection with the Service.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." We make no warranties, express or implied, regarding:

  • The accuracy or completeness of AI-generated content
  • The results you may or may not achieve
  • The continuous availability of the Service or third-party services
  • The fitness of the Service for any particular medical purpose

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Vital Signal and its creator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you have paid for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim.

11. Modifications

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association.
